Book processing charge (BPC)
At Publis Editorial, the Book Processing Charge (BPC) covers the costs of editorial management and the open-access publication of academic books. This ensures that all works are freely accessible to the scientific community and the general public without restrictions.
This BPC includes the peer review process, copy editing, typesetting, DOI assignment, editorial platform hosting, and dissemination of academic databases. When the book is published in English, an additional English-language review and correction service is offered for Spanish-speaking authors.
It is important to note that this BPC is applied on a non-profit basis and is designed exclusively to ensure the quality and sustainability of the editorial process. Additionally, Publis Editorial offers discounts at the discretion of the editorial committee based on factors such as the author’s profile, the field of study, and the potential impact of the work.
When a manuscript is accepted for publication, authors will receive an email with information on the BPC payment process. No fees will be charged for withdrawing a manuscript after submission.

Gold Open Access
The Gold Open Access model ensures that books are freely and immediately accessible online without requiring a subscription or payment from readers. In this model, publication costs are covered by authors or their institutions through the BPC.
This system promotes greater visibility and accessibility of publications, as anyone with Internet access can consult them without restrictions. Open-access books are often indexed in recognized academic databases, increasing their impact and dissemination within the scientific community.
