Synopsis

This chapter examines how communication and graphic design intersect to form an interdisciplinary framework capable of transforming contemporary cultural and social dynamics. It highlights the role of design as a visual mediator that constructs meaning, shapes perception, and enhances communicative effectiveness, especially within digital environments saturated with visual stimuli. The text also addresses the challenges and opportunities of the digital era—such as artificial intelligence, audience fragmentation, and visual ethics—emphasizing the importance of integrating both fields to create clear, relevant, and culturally meaningful messages.
