Errata and retraction policy

Publis Editorial is committed to maintaining scientific and editorial integrity throughout the publication process. While errors are inevitable, we have established a clear policy to address errata, corrections, and retractions, ensuring transparency and trust in the published content.

  1. Errata: An erratum notice will be issued to correct minor errors that do not significantly affect the book's results, interpretation, or conclusions. Examples of these errors include:
  • Typographical errors.
  • Omission of authors in the credits.
  • Discrepancies in affiliation or funding details.

Procedure:

  • Authors or readers must notify the editor-in-chief of the error via the official Publis Editorial email.
  • After verification, the erratum will be published in the book's next edition, including a reference to the original work.
  1. Corrections: A correction is made when the error is significant but does not invalidate the work's conclusions. This includes non-critical methodological errors or the omission of relevant information.

Procedure:

  • Authors or editors will identify the error and provide an appropriate explanation.
  • The correction will be published and linked to the original work, ensuring readers understand the change's nature and impact.
  1. Retractions: A retraction will be applied when the error is serious and compromises the scientific validity of the book, including but not limited to:
  • Plagiarism.
  • Data manipulation.
  • Irreproducible results.

Procedure:

  • The authors, editors, or readers may initiate the retraction.
  • After an internal investigation, a retraction notice will be published with a detailed explanation of the reasons and, when possible, with supporting evidence.
  • The original work will remain accessible on the Publis Editorial website, marked as retracted, to preserve the scientific record.
  1. Ethical guidelines: These actions follow the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and other international standards of good editorial practices.
  2. Transparency: All errata, corrections, and retraction notices will be open access and directly linked to the affected work, ensuring traceability of the changes made.
  3. Contact: Authors and readers should contact the editorial team through the official Publis Editorial email to report errors or request clarifications.

At Publis Editorial, we work to maintain the highest standards of editorial integrity and ensure that any identified errors are addressed with the utmost transparency and responsibility.
